Parent Forum

From managing busy schedules to dealing with outside influences, parents have their hands full these days.

There is broad agreement among the public that it is harder to be a parent today, than it was in the 1980s or 1990s; similarly, no one can argue with the fact that today’s fathers are more “hands on” with their kids than fathers were a generation or two ago.

All these happenings are as a result of inevitable change around the world. Top on the list of wishes in raising children includes: teaching morals and values, maintaining discipline, handling the financial aspects of child rearing, and dealing with the educational system. Additionally, parents have to be aware of societal influences such as drugs and alcohol, peer pressure, and entertainment media. No doubt, there is a lot of work to be done.

The Parents Forum is the right platform for like minds to interact and discuss possible answers to some of today’s parenting challenges.
